Les Chalets des Deux Domaines Peisey Summer in the Alps, one of the holiday industry's best kept secrets
Espirit Summer Alpine Holiday

With the completion of a number of major developments in Peisey-Vallandry in 2005 (including the new four star Club Med village development and MGM’s new L’Orée des Cimes in Vallandry), the Office de Tourisme has taken the initiative to develop the activities that are available in the village this summer, and Les Chalets des Deux Domaines will be open this summer for the first time.

Comfort of the chalets
The chalets benefit from the private swimming pool located between Chalets Ecureuil and Castor, which is only open to guests of the six chalets in the summer. Each chalet has its own private sauna and jacuzzi.

Activities
In addition to the many walks take your pick from an exhilarating range of mountain activities:

  • Rafting
  • Canyoning
  • Paragliding
  • Mountain biking
  • Canoeing
  • Rock climbing
  • Hang gliding
  • Quad biking

In close by Les Arcs, which is connected by road in the summer, you have a large open air swimming pool (with a long slide for children!) and an 18 hole golf course, whilst in the National Park of Rosuel, you can go riding and be taught archery.

Put your best foot forward
If you are a keen walker, in addition to all the local walks that you can do around Peisey and Rosuel, there is also a four to five day tour that can be arranged over to Mont Blanc and crossing into Italy. You don’t need a guide for this but you do need to be prepared!

Commercial Facilities
In the summer months, most of the shops of Peisey and Vallandry are open and without the snow down to the valley the supermarkets of Bourg St Maurice are suddenly much more accessible! You have the cinema and most of your children’s favourite restaurants are open – the Refuge for Pizzas and Le Relax for pancakes in Vallandry, Chez Felix in Peisey and Rosuel for pancakes, le Solan for more pizzas and L’Armoise for Cyrille’s gourmet cooking!

The Bar Oxygène
The Bar Oxygène, situated in the basement of Chalet Hermine, will come out of hibernation for the summer months (and will not be used as a crèche) and will be open in the afternoon from 4.00 p.m. until 8.00 p.m. where you will be able to have a quiet drink on the balcony as the sun goes down, and talk to our team about the range of activities available for the following day.

Twin centre ideas
You can either combine a stay in Peisey with one of Esprit’s other alpine holidays where you will have a full range of Esprit services available to you, or if you choose, continue your journey towards Provence or the French and Italian coasts to get your annual fix of sand and sea.

The chalets will be available from 15 July to 30 August on the following basis:
  • Chalets Renard, Ourson, Castor, Ecureuil and Hibou will be available to rent on a self-catered basis;
  • Chalet Hermine will be available for minimum stays of three days and can be rented on the basis of a half-board arrangement.
